SCMMA-IFPTE Local 222 board members were pleased to attend the 2024 Saskatoon Pride Parade on June 22 and walk with colleagues as part of the City of Saskatoon's float. SCMMA board members also attended the Pride Progress Flag and Two-Spirit Flag raising at City Hall on June 17 and were a proud sponsor of the 2024 Saskatoon Pride Festival.
SCMMA celebrates the diversity within our membership and is working hard to ensure that all members feel seen, safe, welcomed, and valued. We recognize that anti-2SLGBTQIA+ sentiments have increased in recent years, both in the world and at home in Saskatchewan. SCMMA vehemently opposes such rhetoric and stands beside our 2SLGBTQIA+ siblings.
