October 31 marks the last day in office for Roger Bradley, SCMMA's Director of Labour Relations. He has held numerous elected positions on the SCMMA Board of Directors, including President, and has played a vital role in our continued success. Roger was instrumental in securing multiple collective agreements with the City of Saskatoon, was an integral part of SCMMA's affiliation with the International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE), and has been a wealth of knowledge for all things labour. Although Roger is leaving the Board of Directors, he will continue to hold a place on SCMMA's bargaining team for the current ongoing negotiations.
The Board gives our utmost gratitude for Roger's years of service and wishes him all the best for his continued career at the City. As a token of our appreciation, Roger was presented with a certificate at our recent Annual General Meeting.
We now welcome Carter Hunks to the seat of Director of Labour Relations and look forward to the new perspectives he will bring! Also commencing a new term on November 1 are Katie Calder, Director of Position Classification; Deanna Campbell, Treasurer; and eight Stewards.
