The SCMMA Special General Meeting (SGM) to discuss the status of our Blue Cross benefits plan, will take place on November 7 at 12:00 p.m. in council chambers and online. All members are encouraged to attend, and a calendar invitation will be forthcoming.
Executive Appointments
We are pleased to announce the newly acclaimed members of our executive team; the official changeover of duties will take place November 1, and in the meantime, we will begin onboarding new members to ensure a smooth transition.
Director of Labour Relations: Carter Hunks Nominated by Braden Jago and Chelsey Bartlett, Carter will bring his expertise and passion to this critical role.
Director of Position Classification: Katie Calder Acclaimed after nominations from Greg Hippe and Sarah Mantyka, Katie is set to enhance our classification systems with her experience.
Treasurer: Deanna Campbell With nominations from Jazmin Evers and Rene Smith, Deanna will oversee our finances with transparency and diligence.
Director of Communications: The position of Director of Communications (2-year term) remains vacant. However, the President may appoint someone to act in this role until the next AGM, so if you’re interested, please reach out!
